Birds also have a fascinating life, and their singing brightens up every spring morning in the park! May is a very special month, as many nests are full of hungry chicks, and it’s fun to watch their parents answer the call with tasty bugs and seeds.  Learning the how/what/where of nest-building and helping birds find the right ingredients for their “nest recipe” also brings a lot of joy to all. Perhaps we’ll even get to see the first flight of our own resident Chickadee offspring!

May is the time when Butterflies and Bumblebees are making their aerial displays above our heads, and it’s fun to learn how their wings work too!
